When my clients first start therapy, they have been feeling responsible for everything and everyone for a long time. They felt pressured to be a good friend, partner, parent, employee or student. There are many “shoulds” in their life: I should be working harder, I should be a better friend, I should be able to handle this. No matter what they do, they can’t shake the belief that they aren’t good enough.

You may be feeling anxious, exhausted, having stomach issues or panic attacks. There may be traumas from your past, complex family dynamics, or unhealthy relationships that have shaken you.
